Maureen O'Halloran will be available at Tina McFadden's DESTINA in Oranmore Village on the 26th and at Emma
O'Regan's EREGO in Orantown Centre on 27th October to assist you in selecting an outfit, and accessories that
suit you. Maureen O Halloran has made her mark in the fashion world over 23 years and was herself a designer
of exclusive wear and bridal fashion.
According to Maureen, you cannot dress a woman based on her size or shape only. The character of the person is an important factor when designing or choosing an outfit. While providing her personal dressing service Maureen noticed how difficult it was to find the right underwear for her clients. Maureen decided to open a ladies underwear shop in Northgate St Athenry. This shop also became Maureen's base for choosing outfits for her customers. Maureen sourced the most suitable underwear that was available to her to enable her to create a base to work with. While working in the shop Maureen would get ladies coming in looking for underwear for a dress or suit they had bought. On many occasions they would have bought something which did not suit them. Frustrated by this Maureen decided to introduce a service to boutiques whereby she would go and work in a boutique for a day and dress all the ladies who came in to look for an outfit…by doing this Maureen was able to give advice on what not to wear. Maureen provided a bra fitting service because she felt that most women were wearing the wrong size bra also. On hearing about this service Ms Siobhan Ahern owner of Miss Daisy's, Midleton, Co Cork, asked Maureen if she would provide the service to Miss Daisy's and her customers for one day. The day went so well that Maureen has since been back to Miss Daisy's four times and is contracted to visit there once a month. Maureen has also provided this service to boutiques in Dublin and London. Maureen takes care of all customers which is exactly what customers are looking for when they go shopping. She spends time with her customer and helps them to find their style by just selecting the right outfit. "It's not just about getting the sale. The whole reason for a boutique is to provide a service to women to help them to look their best."
