Hello There...
This is the 45th issue of Admag - LIFE IS LOCAL, your FREE guide to what's on and where in the region. You can also read us and previous issues on our website at www.theirishview.com. It is being distributed in the City Tribune in Galway 7000 copies and throughout the area 5000 copies.

This month sees the opening of Holistic Meadow in Gort, the brainchild of Orla Bishop and another Holistic Centre for Kinvara and Kilcolgan at Killeenaran. Briarhill Shopping Centre has opened at Ballybrit, Galway and ....

We review several of the Beauty Clinics in Galway city and county to give you an idea of the wide range of treatments and products that are available in your local area. Anatomy and Cocoon are offering you the finest in clothing from the sporting to the natural warmth of merino wool and other fine mixes.

In October we are still outdoors clearing in the garden and gathering wild fruit and nuts. Galway East tourism will launch their set of six WAYFINDING maps of Athenry, Ballinasloe, Gort, Loughrea, Portumna and Tuam. These guide you on a walking tour of the towns. You can download a commentary from their website to your iPOD if you want. See the details in our feature WAYFINDING.

The first week in October sees the Clarenbridge Arts Festival, Children's Book Week and following on Baboro 13th International Children's Festival in Galway. We have a list of EVENTS throughout the month on page 12.

This month we see the second harvest. The blackberries are in abundance and have come and almost gone but it is the sloes and hazelnuts that are ready to be picked. The autumn equinox is covered in HAVE VAN WILL TRAVEL. When Stuart traveled to TARA and TRIM to investigate, and there is some explanation of the equinox in the feature CALENDAR.

This is also the time of year to get involved in courses or hobbies and we have given you some ideas inside. Tango, Set dancing, Irish language, Holistic therapy courses and much more.

There is certainly FOOD for Thought with the recipes of John Greene from The Twelve Hotel Bearna. Have a look at the Good Food Guide for information on new product launches and eating out guide.

We have provided you with a recommended cycle from Kinvara to Corofin to Gort. We hope you will try it. We would like to have your opinion of this route as we hope to make it an annual cycle to raise money for your local charity.
